I found this in the 'West Sussex Gazette' dated 21st February 1957: “The Directors of William Harvey Ltd. HAVE VERY MUCH PLEASURE IN EXTENDING TO YOU THIS INVITATION TO VISIT THEIR NEW STORE. FOUR FULL SHOPPING FLOORS AND A BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT. WE SHALL BE DELIGHTED TO MEET YOU AND SHOW YOU AROUND. Opening Day, Monday, February 25th. HIGH STREET, GUILDFORD. TELEPHONE 66301 (10 lines).” ...and this in the 'Surrey Advertiser' dated 29th January 1971: “...both pleaded guilty to stealing two LP records worth 8s 9d from William Harvey Ltd and two more records worth £4 11s 8d from W H Smith and Sons.”
