I found this in the 'Shields Daily News' dated 4th May 1928: “CABINET GRAMOPHONE, slightly shop-soiled, in figured oak case, with Record Cupboard, powerful Double Spring Motor, to clear £5 17s 6d. Authorised Agents for “His Master's Voice” and “Columbia” Gramophones. — Wiggs, Scala House, Ocean Road, South Shields.” ...and this in the 14th July 1949 edition: “WIGGS RECORD DEPT. IS OPEN AGAIN - HMV • Columbia • Decca • Capitol • Parlophone, etc. WIGGS GALLERIES, Scala House, Ocean Road, SOUTH SHIELDS.”
