I found this in the 'Thanet Advertiser' dated 6th November 1920: “GREAT REDUCTION IN PRICE - “HIS MASTER'S VOICE” GRAMOPHONES. Also The World’s Greatest Vocalists, Instrumentalists, Comedians, Actors, etc., are all at your command if you install in your home an “His Master’s Voice” Gramophone. Preferred all over the World by real music lovers. DON’T ACCEPT A SUBSTITUTE - the famous Trade Mark is on all Instruments and Records. Complete Range of Instruments and Records can be seen and heard at my Establishments. PRICES from £7 10s. THORNTON BOBBY, 7a, Queen Street and 242, Northdown Road, Cliftonville. Telephone 70.”
...and this in the 27th November 1920 edition:
“THORNTON BOBBY’S Suggestions for presents that will give delight to your FRIENDS and FAMILY. Just the thing for the Children. The Wonderful BUBBLE BOOKS that sing. Beautifully illustrated Books, Rhymes and 3 Columbia Records for 7/- (10 different sets).”
