I found this in the 'Manchester Evening News' dated 18th November 1930: “Before the concert starts at 7 p.m., courtesy of Messrs. Peake’s Gramophones of 33 Princess Road, Moss Side, there will be a gramophone recital for half an hour. Tickets for this effort are 6d and 4d each.”
