I found an advert in the 'Kent Evening Post' dated 15th April 1976: “MANAGE A W. H. SMITH RECORD DEPARTMENT. If you have a good knowledge of records then you could be the person we are looking for to run the Record Department in our NEW CHATHAM SHOP in the Pentagon. The ability to sell and buy records and to control department essential. Comprehensive training will be given.
