I found this advert in the 'Alderley & Wilmslow Advertiser' dated 23rd October 1959:
“WHITE & SWALES LTD.
YOUR Television, Radio and Record DEALER.
2 CROSS STREET, ALTRINCHAM;
11 MEALHOUSE BROW, STOCKPORT;
53 ALDERLEY ROAD, WILMSLOW.”
... and this piece from 'Peter Swales – East of the M60' at this link:

“Along with his friend Peter Swales, Noel White founded a fifteen store chain of TV and radio rental shops in what is largely the southern part of Greater Manchester. Both White and Swales were legendary names in Association Football.”

I found this piece in the 'Manchester Evening News' dated 20th November 1958: “They're all at your service. STOCKPORT'S second-to-none shopping service is backed by hundreds of first-class shops, firms and traders that are ever ready with the latest attractions for shoppers. In fact on Saturday at White and Swales' music centre in Mealhouse Brow, the Italian Marino Marini Quartet is paying a visit to delight shoppers at 11.30 a.m.”
