I found this in 'The Scotsman' dated 16th December 1960:
“FIRST TIME ON RECORD - THE SCOTTISH NATIONAL ORCHESTRA, Conductor: ALEXANDER GIBSON, (RECORDED IN ST ANDREW'S HALL, GLASGOW). Waltz: “Gold and Silver” - Lehar; “Sorochinsky Fair” - Mussorgsky; Overture: “Signor Bruschino” - Rossini. 7 in. EP. YLP 050. 14/7. This brilliant record depicts the orchestra at its best, and enhances its ever-growing reputation. Obtainable at all leading Record Stores. WAVERLEY RECORDS, 23 EARL GREY STREET, EDINBURGH, 3.”
...and this in the 22nd April 1961 edition:
“JEFFREY'S AUDIO HOUSE - Agents for ZENITH Sound Equipment : Transistor Radios : Stereophonic Reproducers. THE BEST THAT MONEY CAN BUY - GEO. JEFFREY LTD., 23 EARL GREY STREET, EDINBURGH, 3.”
