I found this advert in the 'Bristol Evening Post' dated 15th October 1969: “MANAGER required by WALLIS, TOMLIN & CO. LTD., THE ELECTRICAL PEOPLE, LYME REGIS. Full knowledge of the Radio, Television & Electrical Retail Trade essential. This is a responsible position. Apply in writing giving details ot experience to: HEAD OFFICE, 15 BROAD STREET, LYME REGIS, DORSET.”
... and this quote from an article in the 'Bridport & Lyme Regis News' at this link:

“Mr Hayter said the boys loved Lyme Regis, and he remembers the Regent Cinema, Mad Hatters tea room, Bell Cliff café, and Wallis and Tomlin where the pupils bought their LPs.”
