I found this in the 'Bromley & West Kent Mercury' dated 25th November 1932: “W. F. ROGERS, ELECTRICAL ENGINEER & CONTRACTOR, 3, Central Parade, West Wickham. Telephone: SPRING PARK 1010.”

Having spent my whole life living in West Wickham (and yes, I`m still here, I remember W.F. Rogers, but at 105, Station Road. The records were upstairs, run by a Mrs. Taylor. And where I bought my first single (and probably L.P. as well). This shop preceded Showells. Whilst the physical area was small, it had something for most people`s taste. My father was the manager of the shop for a while.
