To say that Jazzy M is one of the main men responsible for the UK’s phenomenon that we call house music is no understatement. ‘Grooverider’ has been known to proclaim Jazzy M as “The Godfather of House” – a statement that accurately describes Jazzy’s contribution to the music industry. Jazzy has been responsible for introducing so many people to house music with the first ever radio show in the UK dedicated to house music; ‘The Jackin’ Zone’. The show ran for ten years on LWR in conjunction with Jazzy’s record shop Vinyl Zone, formerly on the King’s Road in Fulham. ‘Maxi Jazz’ now of ‘Faithless’ started his career with Jazzy on the ‘Jackin Zone’ making jingles for the show.

The list of customers who shopped with Jazzy would read as a who’s who of music including the likes of Pete tong, CJ Mackintosh, Giles Peterson , Tim Westwood , Norman Jay , Darren Emerson, Carl Cox, Jonnie Walker, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis , Marshall Jefferson , Bam bam , Lil Louis , The Aphex Twin , Sasha , Westbam , JT Vannelli , DJ Linus , Colin Dale , Mantronix , Frankie Valentine , LtJ Bukem , Fabio , Pete Heller , Tommy Musto , Frankie Knuckles , Francois Kevorkian , Blow , David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Nicky Holloway, Seb Fontaine, Pet Shop Boys, Nile Rogers (Chic), Holly Johnson (Frankie goes..) John Taylor (Duran Duran), Paul Weller and Dr Robert (Blow Monkeys), Orbital, Mr C , Layo and Bushwacka and Colin favour, to name but a few.
