I found this piece in the 'Liverpool Echo' dated 12th April 1996: “IS it a record shop? Is it a dance label? Is it a publishing house? No, it's Three Beat Records, and therefore likely to be any of these things depending on what mode you catch its directors in. Last year Three Beat launched the singing career of Berri, whose 'Sunshine After The Rain' leapt straight into the charts. Then came 'Highflyers', a gorgeous glossy compilation of club art that became essential show-off coffee table material for the even vaguely hip. On top of all that, the Three Beat shop in Wood Street is the throbbing heart of the dance music scene in Liverpool.”
