‘The Turntable’ record shop in Redcar, Cleveland/Teeside. It was better than WHSmiths/woolworths etc as they always had the latest albums plus old stock. It was run by an old couple and I think it also sold greetings cards and decorations.. I think it closed down in the 1990’s and I moved up north not long after. I still have a lot of records I bought as a teenager, easily identified by the removable white sticker the old man used as a price tag, but he used to write the price on with permanent marker, so even after you removed the sticker you still had the price forever left on the top corner of the sleeve!
