Comment: I remember buying the Jam's Going Underground from here as a new release, so that can be dated around early 1980. As I recall, there was quite an elderly lady behind the counter. I don't think it lasted that much longer and from memory it became a men's clothes shop.

I worked here in1975, used to go between the two shops, I worked with a bloke called Mick Jones who looked like - could be same one as - the Clash's Mick Jones, nice guy who lived in Wandsworth and played in a band but he left about Christmas time 1975, I left in 1976.

I worked in Smithfield Mrkt when I left school. On my way home in my first few months of working there. I popped in to buy Barry White's "You're the First, the last, my everything. I became friendly with the staff: Maureen, John and a lovely girl whose name I just cannot remember...I know she lived in Northolt, as a couple of us went there and her father asked us to leave. Life, eh?

We used to go for drinks across the road in the Farringdon station that was run by a lovely woman called Carol and her partner, her name I cannot remember. Happy times in Farringdon.
