I found this advert in the 'Loughborough Mail' dated 26th November 1986:
“LEFT LEGGED PINEAPPLE - WE BUY AND SELL Records, Tapes, CD's, Music Videos, Computer Software (plus books), 2000 AD Comics. WE ALSO STOCK Pop, Rock and Alternative Posters, Post Cards and T-Shirts, Record and Tape Accessories. 24 CHURCHGATE, LOUGHBOROUGH. Telephone: 236791.”
... and this piece in the 'Loughborough Echo' dated 19th September 1997:
“SELLING OUT - ELTON John’s tribute single to Diana Princess of Wales has been selling out as fast as Loughborough’s record stores can get hold of it. The first copies of 'Candle In The Wind ’97' sold out almost as soon as they hit the town’s record stores as locals flocked to grab their own copy of this historic charity single. People were outside Andy’s in Carillon Court before it opened on Saturday and 45 minutes after its doors were thrown open all 300 copies were sold. Its manager Craig Burley said: “We have had an unprecedented response. It has sold unbelievably well.” Mr Burley added that people of all ages were buying the single including many who have never been into a record shop before. At Castle Records, which is also in Carillon Court, its first batch of 400 copies sold out before nine o’clock and Saturday’s second batch also disappeared very quickly. Its manager Alan Castledine, who opened up at 7.30am because people were outside waiting to buy a copy, said: “This is the fastest selling single we have ever had. “I didn’t expect it to sell as quickly nor to sell in the amounts that it has.” The Left Legged Pineapple owner Jason White has also been staggered by the response. His shop only received its first batch on Monday which meant the staff had to turn away hordes of disappointed customers on Saturday. And once it did arrive the single sold out straightaway “It’s been phenomenal.” he said “People are coming in and asking for five or ten copies at a time. “This is really exceptional for a single and I have been shocked by the huge demand.”
