I found this advertorial in the Birmingham Evening Despatch dated 5th March 1934:
“GET YOUR SUPPLIES OF REGAL-ZONOPHONE FROM T. R. PRIEST & SONS LTD. 1/2, MARKET PLACE, BLACKHEATH, BIRMINGHAM. Those who, when wireless first swept across the world, predicted the rapid death of the gramophone as a means of indoor amusement have been proved to be wrong. For far from being driven into obscurity, its competitor, the gramophone, has not only maintained, but has actually increased in popularity with those domestically minded people who prefer to partake of their musical pleasures while sitting by the fireside.”
