Name: Nigel Henson
Comment: Sounds Right Records started trading in November 1980, taking over P&J Records in Walthamstow High Street. The co-owners were Nigel Henson and Paul White. They moved to a double unit in the High Street and opened a second shop in Stratford. Previously HMV, it was a big step up but very successful. More shops followed in Poplar, Criss Street, Islington, and on the markets at Romford and Brick Lane. During the 1980s it was one of the cheapest record shops and TDK tape wholesaler.
