Comment: I used to work for a company called Sympholia in the early 1970s. This was the wholesale branch of Smyths for records. Their building was on the Lower Antrim Road. They had a lot of shops around Northern Ireland in those days.

I found this in the 'Belfast Telegraph' dated 29th October 1964:
“PERSONAL APPEARANCE of JULIE ROGERS at 1 p.m. on FRIDAY at SMYTHS FOR RECORDS, 49 FOUNTAIN STREET.”
...and this in the 25th August 1967 edition:
“Smyth's for Records - Additional Sales Staff, FULL or PART-TIME. Experience in selling Gramophone Records a valuable asset. Apply, in writing only: SMYTH'S for Records, 14 Adelaide St., Belfast 2.”
