Shorrock and Shorrock music store had premises in both Yorkshire Street and Drake Street.

It offered the latest in televisions, radios, records and pianos. Ernest Shorrock had first set up the business as a piano shop in Durham Street in 1917. Soon after he moved to Milkstone Road and was joined by his brother, John. Premises were opened in Drake Street then, in 1939, another branch in Yorkshire Street. Moving with the times, as the sale of instruments declined the firm moved into gramophones and records.
