Comment: I remember it well and went there quite a lot in the early 1990s. Loads of cheap vinyl. They always seemed to be playing metal on the system. I bought a Motorhead album which they had to take off the turntable (as they were playing it at the time) to sell to me.

Comment: I was just burning my copy of the B-52s' Cosmic Thing CD to MP3 and I noticed the label says "Scene Of The Crime Records £7.99" so I Googled it since I couldn't for the life of me remember where I bought it.
I was a student at Liverpool Poly from 1989-1992 so I guess I must have bought it from the shop in Quiggins but I don't remember doing so... weird.

... and this piece in the 'Maghull & Aintree Star' dated 3rd February 1994: “Art has taken to the streets of the city in an exhibition entitled 'Litter' which includes computer generated dancing images of rubbish. Every evening the images are projected onto the pavement in Wood Street, outside Scene of the Crime Records, by a video camera and is the brainchild of artist Susan Collins. Images are triggered by passers-by.”

“Scene of the Crime (Wood Street) used to be a favourite in the '90s.”
