Comment: My aunty used to own this shop in the 1960s and I would work in there occasionally! I'm amazed to see this piece of history. The reason I looked was that TV programme 24 Hours in Police Custody, focusing on an incident in Luton which reminded me.

I found this in the 'Luton News & Bedfordshire Chronicle' dated 26th October 1967: “THE SENSATIONAL POWER appearing at BEDFORD CIVIC THEATRE, Bedford on 4th November. Tickets obtainable from RECORD RENDEZVOUS, 110 Bury Park Rd., Luton 31693.”
...and this in the 21st December 1967 edition:
“Records: POPS and classical records, also record tokens. Record Rendezvous, 110 Bury Park Road, Luton.”
