Comment: Was a great shop with good service, prefer the independent ones, like there and Earth/Oven Ready Records. Finding stock not mainstream, hours of joy looking.

Comment: Record House was owned and run by the Sinclairs, senior and junior, folding in 2005/6 whilst the Amersham branch was bought out by the manager and Record House director Graeme Campbell who now runs his own record shop trading as The Record Shop on Station Road, Amersham, telephone number 01494 433311. He deals in LPs, CDs, DVDs, games, instruments, accessories, etc. Go visit, two-minute walk up from Amersham Metropolitan line station. Tell him Ann said "Hi".

I found this piece in the 'Buckingham Examiner' dated 30th November 1973: “Record House, the new record shop opened in Market Square, Chesham, by the owners of Amersham's Radio House, is still a family business. Chairman of the business is Mr Derek Sinclair, who is also majority shareholder. His wife is a director.”
