I found this article in the 'Croydon Advertiser' dated 16th October 1959:

“FREE RECORDS OFFERED - To celebrate the opening of their new premises tomorrow (Saturday) at Station Road, West Croydon, R. H. Television Development Co. Ltd. have arranged a special one week offer. All purchasers of TV sets or radiograms will be entitled to make their own selection of the latest gramophone records free to the value of £5. Next door to the new shop the firm are also opening a Record Rendezvous.”

… and this advert in the 'Croydon Times' dated 16th June 1961:

“ALWAYS BUY YOUR RECORDS at RECORD RENDEZVOUS Station Road, West Croydon. We give Green Shield Trading Stamps with every purchase.”

… also this advert in the 'Croydon Advertiser'16th November 1962:
