I found this advert in the 'Aldershot News' dated 13th February 1920: “In response to the repeated requests from our customers for Gramophones and Records, we have decided to open an up-to-date Gramophone Department, the special feature of which will be a separate AUDITION CHAMBER where, in seclusion and comfort, customers may make their selection of HIGH-CLASS MODELS & LATEST RECORDS. Opening Monday Next, Feb. 16th. GEO. POTTER & CO., POTTER’S CORNER (Queen’s Road & Grosvenor Road), ALDERSHOT.”
