Comment: I didn't buy my first record from here, that came from a weird Pickwick-esque swivel stand on some indoor market, (Belle Stars - Sign of the Times 7") but pretty much everything I bought after that for a few years came from either Hudsons, Planet X or the market.

Comment: My formative years were spent dossing saturday mornings in Some Kinda Mushroom mid-1970s - the picture looks like the same place as Planet X? Please confirm I was not tripping on Some Kinda Mushroom and dreamed all this up?!

I owned and started ‘Some Kinda Mushroom’ on Newbold Road in Chesterfield. I later passed it on to Stuart Smith.
The original concept and (I suppose) ‘hippie ethos’ was during the time that myself and first wife Geraldine owned the business.

I found this advert in the 'Derbyshire Times' dated 31st October 1986:
