I found this listing in the 'Daily Mirror' dated 12th October 1967: “Pearsons Record Centre, Chapel St., Bridlington.”
… and this listing in the 'Hull Daily Mail' dated 30th March 1973: “Pearsons Record Centre, Chapel St., Bridlington.”

Remember the shop well from the 1960s/1970s. There was a row of record booths.
Mr Pearson was very astute as the other half of the shop was a sweet shop! He always told my mum and her friend Kay Woods to put pontefract cakes in the middle of the window!
I believe the first record I had as a child was 'Lily the Pink' by The Scaffold.
