I found this address as a supplier of 'PUNCURE' in an advert in 'Cycling' dated 11th May 1910: “Ogden Smith, St. John's Hill, Clapham Junction.”
… and this report in the 'South Western Star' dated 8th January 1915: “Alfred Solomon, 54, North End, Croydon, manager to Mr. Ogden Smith, said the shops were broken into on two consecutive Sundays, and Christmas Day.”
… and this article in the 'Croydon Times' dated 19th February 1938: “MESSRS. OGDEN-SMITH - On the adjoining stand are some of the goods manufactured by Ogden-Smith in their great factory in Cherry Orchard Road. There is a fine display of bicycles of all kinds and descriptions, together with every possible accessory for the furtherance of the comfort of the cyclist. A great deal of interest is being created by a demonstration on the same stand, where the public are watching with fascinated curiosity the manufacture of artificial flies for fishermen.”
… and this advert in the 'Croydon Advertiser' dated 6th October 1939: “FISHING TACKLE. Girls wanted to learn fly making; also Vacancies for Home Work for old employees. Ogden Smiths, 74-94, Cherry Orchard Rd. Croydon.”
… and this advert in the 'Caterham Mirror' dated 25th May 1951: “Ogden Smiths, Specialists in Fishing Tackle. NOW OPEN AT 53 GEORGE STREET, CROYDON. Phone: Croydon 6686. 62 St James's Street London SW1.”
… and this in the 'Croydon Advertiser' dated 20th June 1958: “OGDEN SMITHS are now in their new and larger premises, with an even wider range of tackle, at 31 South End, South Croydon.”
