Comment: Off Limits took over the shop from Hobdays - it was in Poplar Road, a tiny shop but a great place to browse. If you went upstairs you could buy instruments.
When Off Limits took over CDs were the norm, my daughter got me a Jive Bunny album for christmas - still don’t think I’ve played it!
Re: Poplar Road, Kings Heath
Hobdays were still there in 1978/9. I remember because my daughter then a toddler ripped the needle from my expensive hi-fi seperates twice in one week. At a cost of 13 quid a needle back then it hurt.
Purchsed the new needles from Hobdays.
