The Market was demolished between December 2014 and June 2015 to make way for the New Market Square.

I found this advert in the 'Leicester Daily Mercury' date 27th February 1984: “RECORDS wanted for cash or exchange, especially 12in., even whole collections. Oddity Records, Ground Floor, Leicester Market Centre. Call or tel: 56017.”
