I found this classified advert in the 'Nottingham Evening Post' dated 3rd August 1988:
“SALES ASSISTANT required for busy record shop in Long Eaton. Applications, made in writing, to Mr. L. G. May, Oasis Records, 58 High Street, Long Eaton, Nottingham.”
... and this notice in the 'Nottingham Recorder' dated 10th December 1992:
“BY ORDER OF P. B. HILTON F.C.A. OF MESSRS. RICHARDSON NUTT, LIQUIDATOR FOR VISATREE LTD., AND GEMDALE LTD., TRADING AS OASIS RECORDS. Approximately £30,000 of CD's, RECORDS and CASSETTES to be SOLD by Private Treaty at greatly reduced prices, on Saturday 12 December 1992 at JOHN PYE & SONS LTD., The Cattle Market, Corn Exchange, Off London Road, Nottingham, between 9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.”
