I used to work in the shop and I lived on the premises from 1989 until its closure in 2001. Happy days.

I worked in the record store between 1983 and 1985. Often helping out in the antique / stamp shop next door.

Comment: Run by Adam Gibbs. First location was on the site of 172 High Street, Egham (now the site of a Christian Science Reading Room); I remember a (dubious?) fire at the premises some time in the mid-1970s. Shop relocated to 86 High Street some time after.
Interestingly, they used to operate a music library, so you could hire an album, take it home and tape it, then return it a few days later.
