Minim Records

Name: Dave Harwood
Comment: My friend Barry recalled walking along London Road to Norbury in search of record and book shops and suggested the name ‘Minim’ could possibly belong to a record shop. A Google search didn’t find anything, but while I was still able to view the phone book info, my search found:

Minim Records, 2 Station Approach, Kenley, Surrey
Phone book records show they were located there from 1959 to 1973

and also:

Minim Records, 916 London Road, Thornton Heath
Phone book records show they were located there from 1973 to 1982.

This would make it very likely that it was the same business and they moved from Kenley to Thornton Heath in 1973.
