Comment: Bought my first guitar from this shop in 1968. They had a Peckham Branch on Rye Lane, opposite the RACS. Later, in April 1974, I bought my first Fender Stratocaster from them.(still have it). I'm not sure why I did so. Was a bad investment and they ripped me off (ha ha). The staff weren't that helpful unless they knew you and you were a favourite. (I wasn't LOL.) Owned by a grumpy guy called Charlie Saunders and his family. But it was the only decent music shop that sold sheet music, in South London within walking distance.

I found this in the 'Evening News (London)' dated 19th September 1975:
“MELBOURNE PIANOS, 213 Kilburn High Road, N.W.6. 01-624 3900 or 36 Peckham Rye, S.E.15. 01-639 2524 or 48 High Street, Chatham, Kent. Medway 44068.”
