Adrian Chiles British writer and television and radio presenter brought his first record in here. "I can still recall the small the shop had." 2025

Comment: The record section was in a separate shop attached to the main building. I live on the other side of the world now but now and then when I go back to visit my mother I walk through Stourbridge town. Mark & Moody's is long gone and was a charity shop the last time I went back but behind the shopboard (Mary Steven's Hospice?) you could see the Records sign still hanging.

I found this address in the 'Wolverhampton Express & Star' dated 24th September 1968:
“Mark & Moody, 52/64, High Street, Stourbridge (Tel. 4072).”
...and this in the 22nd November 1978 edition:
“Tickets: £1.60, £1.40, £1.20 Available from: Mark & Moody Record Shop, High Street. Tel: 4072.”
...plus this in the 21st November 1980 edition:
“Tickets: £2.50 available from MARK & MOODY RECORDS, High St., Stourbridge. Tel. 4072.”
