I found this advert in the 'Harrow Observer' dated 11th November 1965: “FRENCH BOOKS famous LIVRE DE POCHE series, each in stock at M & J Parkes, 4 Station Parade, Northolt Road, South Harrow. Lists on request. We also supply American records (all labels).”
A-Z prev: Lyon & Hall
A-Z next: M & R Disc Bar
Name: Ye Min
Comment: It was my nearest record shop. I'd heard a lovely Beach Boys song on the radio and went into the shop to listen to the flipside of God Only Knows - it wasn't the song that I had heard, so I bought my first copy of Pet Sounds from the shop. I continued to buy from the shop even when my musical tastes changed to West Coast psychedelia, and ordered more and more obscure records such as Rabbit Mackay's Bug Cloth. Wish I still had that one.
