Comment: Long-established in Park Road, Glasgow (near to Kelvinbridge underground) Lost Chord - note spelling - was opened and run for years by Gordon somebody. (My memory lets me down.) Great mix of new and second-hand vinyl and tapes, it was one of those great shops where disorder frequently reigned. It still has probably the most outrageous shop-front in Glasgow consisting, as it does, of a Noah's Ark type mural.

Name: Bill Higgins
Comment: I remember it at its original location in Kinning Park, just behind Cessnock subway station. Opened my eyes to a diverse range of music.

Comment: Gordon McKee opened it and I took over in 1991, keeping it going until 2015 when it became LP Records, finally shutting its doors in July 2918.

I remember Lost Chord well! I was in the shop literally every day after school in the early 1970s and spent my lunch money on their great value records. My now massive record collection started in this shop, it was great for promo records, mostly 7" and many of my most rare records came from Lost Chord.
