I found this piece in the 'Nelson Leader' dated 27th August 1999:

“A NELSON record dealer who has had a market stall for more than 30 years has retired aged 79. Mr Leonard Ainscough, who owned Len's Records in the open market had served the community with his stall since 1968. He started out with a stall under The Grand, which used to be the main market in Nelson, where he sold top 10 hits as well as classical records, jazz and favourites from the 60s and 70s. He later moved to the open market and specialised in dance records.“

… and this advert in the 4th December 1970 edition:

“LEN’S RECORDS - CLASSICAL and POP - NOW OPEN ON GRAND OPEN MARKET (Under Grand), NELSON. UP TO 16/- OFF TOP LP's E.G.—Sound of Music, Jim Reeves, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Johnny Cash, Mantovani, Andy Williams and Hundreds More—ln fact too numerous to mention.”
