I found this advert in the 'Staffordshire Sentinel' dated 29th September 1961: “All the Latest in POPS! AND A FULL RANGE OF LP’s IN STOCK Telephone: Leek 1315/ Sheet Music. Harmonicas and Recorders. LEEK MUSIC STORES 11 Sheepmarket Street, LEEK Telephone: Leek 846. Branches at 60 George Street, NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME Tel: Newcastle 64478 & Market Hall, LONGTON.”
… and this advert in the 21st November 1975 edition: “MUSIC FOR EVERYONE. Over 1,000 LPs in stock. Classical, Films and Shows, Pop. Also CASSETTES, 8-TRACKS, etc. for the young ones. LEEK MUSIC STORES, 11 SHEEPMARKET STREET, LEEK Telephone LEEK 382846. Also at BURSLEM MARKET HALL, STOKE-ON-TRENT; 28 IRONMARKET, NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME, STAFFS & LONGTON MARKET HALL.”
