Laser Discount

There is a mention of Laser Discount listed in the 'Bilericay Gazette' dated 12th November 1998: “CD SHOP MUSIC: Laser Discount.” … but no address.

Tom Butterworth opened his shop on Main Road, Broomfield (a few doors down from Days Garage and Radioactive hobby shop.) He was a film and music enthusiast, selling both Laserdiscs and CDs. In the mid-1990s he moved closer to the town, opening up opposite The Ship pub in Broomfield Road, now selling DVDs as well as CDs. Finally in the late 1990s he opened a shop opposite Chelmsford bus station. He was here for about two years before suffering ill health and closing the store.
