Comment: Jeffreys on Bread Street was a great record shop. It had booths to allow you to listen before you bought and always had a wide range of music, not just the chart.

I found this advert in ‘The Scotsman’ dated 21st December 1967: “JEFFREYS AUDIO HOUSE 68 Bread Street for all your record gifts. Large stock of pop and classical records. Normal priced and budget labels.”

I worked in Jeffrey’s audio house 55 years ago loved it started when I was 16 you could listen to the music in little booths the Baycity Rollers came in regular and Pilot they both used my boss’s recording studios as well good times
