James' Music Shop James' Music shop, a very bad loss to the town when it closed. Any sheet music, and record, they had it; none of this I can order it for you sir complete with blank look hiding thoughts why on earth does he want that? ; Mr James was there pretty well most of the time, and he knew exactly what was wanted, classical or rock'n'roll and he had it there in the shop; I never saw him without a smile. The shop was usually crowded.

I found this listing in 'Crescendo' magazine dated November 1963: “H. M. James, 81-82 Market Jew Street, Penzance, Cornwall”
... and this in the 'West Briton & Cornwall Advertiser' dated 7th April 1983: “H. M. James, Music Dealer, 81-82 Market Jew Street, Penzance. Tel: (0736) 3518.”
