I found this in the 'Rugby Advertiser' dated 3rd December 1937:
“J. T. E. BROWN - Who says Christmas music? Everybody, of course. What would Christmas be without a few tunes, whether of the old and popular songs and carols or of the latest in jazz? This is where Mr. J. T. E. Brown steps in. You all know that he has a very fine stock of radio. In addition, his after sales service is a great asset to the people who are not technically minded. He can help you provide your own music too, with gramophone records.”
