Name: Stephen Mc Conville
Comment: It was a small number of shops in Northern Ireland in towns like Lurgan and Portadown. It was started by Cliff Moore, a big Elvis/Rock & Roll fan and there was an offshoot It record label, they released some of the first Punk/New Wave singles in Northern Ireland.

Cliff told me at the peak he had six shops, one of his later shops was Sun Records, yes, THAT Sun Records, he obviously wasn't averse to 'appropriating' images and logos. I think it was fair to say that nobody was paying too much attention to what records shops in Northern Ireland were doing in the 1970s & 1980s (apart from Good Vibes).

Sadly, Cliff died a couple of years ago.

I found an advert in the ‘Lurgan Mail’ dated 18th September 1980: “it RECORDS : TAPES, 1 HIGH STREET — LURGAN.”
