I found this announcement in the ‘Evening Despatch’ dated 21st April 1950: “ ‘THE STORE THAT NEVER CLOSED' RE-OPENS TOMORROW. After nine and a half years, Henry's Stores Ltd. resume business at the firm's old site on the corner of High Street and Martineau Street, Birmingham.”
