I found this advert in the 'Crewe Chronicle' dated 14th February 1948: “MUSICAL GOODS SHOP AT 29a, HIGHTOWN, CREWE. All Orders receive prompt attention. If you are unable to visit us telephone Crewe 3660. Prop.: Harry Perkins, A.R.M.C.M.” ... and this in the 26th March 1949 edition: “THE HARRY PERKINS RECORD LIBRARY. LOW RATES OF HIRE FOR RECORDS OF YOUR CHOICE. Call, 'phone, or write for particulars. EVERYTHING for the MUSICIAN, including MUSIC, BAND PARTS, REEDS, STRINGS, Etc. 29a, HIGHTOWN, CREWE. Tel: 3660 016141.”
