A "Newsagent, wholesale and retail tobacconist", according the the shop stamp on this plain record sleeve. The shop probably carried a small selection of current popular songs. The building is still there, a shop now dealing in football programmes and memorabilia (next to the Sheffield Wednesday football ground).

Looking at the stamp on the record sleeve with a magnifying glass, I can see that the name of the shop is M. H. HALL.
...and I found this in the 'Sheffield Daily Telegraph' dated 23rd May 1931:
“Newsagent: M. H. Hall, 97, Leppings Lane.”
...and this In the 'Sheffield Independent' dated 3rd November 1931:
“M. H. Hall, 97, Leppings Lane.”
...and this in the 16th August 1938 edition:
“Mr. and Mrs. M. Hall, 97, Leppings Lane, Hillsborough.”
