I found this piece in the 'Croydon Advertiser' dated 3rd August 1951: “MR. H. C. HARMER. A well-known printer and churchman, Mr. Horace Cuthbert Harmer of 74 Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon, died in Croydon General Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Harmer, who was ?? years of age, originally came from Ashford, Kent where he served his apprenticeship as a printer. He arrived in Croydon about 35 years ago and set up his business in Lower Addiscombe Road where he remained for the rest of his life.”
