I found this advert in the 'Marylebone Mercury' dated 13th April 1951: “GOOD prices paid for classical gramophone records in fine condition - Gate Bookshop, 1, Ladbroke Road, Notting Hill Gate W.11.” ...and this piece in the 'Kensington News & West London Times' dated 29th August 1952: “THE GATE BOOKSHOP, in Ladbroke Road W.11, comes a close second to Boris Birin, in Earls Court, for being the smallest book-shop in Kensington.”
