I found an advert in the ‘Bristol Evening Post’ dated 13th May 1989: “GARAGELAND RECORDS: Downstairs at ‘Focus’, Princess Victoria Street, Clifton. Specialises in New Wave (1977-80), indie rock, jazz, soul and punk. Prices are fair and the difficulty of buying records like these draws people in from all over the country. They stock a lot of rare records, like the first single by the Wedding Present, although this will set you back £60.”
