Comment: Hello there, I just came across your image of my 7" record bag!
My shop was 50% clothing too, and l bought it in 1972 from Howell and Harrington who called it The Man's Shop, although it had the somewhat old fashioned record department.
We refitted the shop, and did very well with local DJs reading my Music Week mags to see new releases etc.
Unfortunately it seemed to go downhill when Our Price opened in Putney, and around 1980 we changed to Video Magic renting films.
Great memories though and lots of good friends long ago now!
