Comment: I remember buying a Transvision Vamp LP in there but not much else about it.

It was a small record shop in the 1990s in Dock Street, near the Rugby Tavern and behind Browns Books. You had to go up some stairs I think to get into the shop.

Comment: Nice little shop. Bought a few things including an original UK pressing of Neil Young's On The Beach for £4.

I found this announcement in the 'Hull Daily Mail' dated 25th April 1991: “NOW OPEN - EAST COAST MUSIC Co. WE BUY, SELL, EXCHANGE.”
... and this address in the 14th March 1997 edition: “Cool Drink’s seven-track cassette, priced £4, is only available from East Coast Music at Newland Avenue, Kingston-upon-Hull.”
... plus this notice in the 29th July 1998 edition: “On 17 July 1998 RE: CARY CHRISTOPHER SITLINTON, self-employed Retailer of 5 Shirley Avenue, Hull HU5 3UP and lately carrying on business as East Coast Music Co. at 169 Newland Avenue, Hull HU5 2EP and 10 Dock Street, Hull HU1 3DL. No. 154 of 1998.”
